Carlito Calil Junior, LaMEM, SET, EESC, USP, is Professor at the Department of Structural Engineering, School of Engineering of São Carlos, University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is mainly interested in the education, development, design and research of timber structures in Brazil. Mr. Calil is the Head of the Structural Engineering Department and member of International Association of Wood Products Societies (IAWPS) – Japan. He can be reached at calil@sc.usp.br.
