Leonard J. Morse-Fortier, Ph.D., P.E. is a staff consultant at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. (SGH) Len’s work at SGH includes investigating failures, consulting on structural design and restoration projects, and wind-engineering consulting. After working several years in wind engineering, he completed his Ph.D., and spent ten years teaching structural mechanics and building technology, first at the University of Notre Dame, and more recently at MIT.
